"The two leaders expressed their desire to speed up the process of ending the war in Ukraine by engaging China and establishing a lasting peace in the region," Makhon's office said in a statement.

French President Emmanuel Macron is visiting China. He spoke to US President Joe Biden on the phone before the visit. In a phone conversation, the two leaders discussed and agreed to engage China in the process of ending the war in Ukraine quickly.

The news agency Reuters reported this information with reference to the French President's office.

"The two leaders expressed their desire to speed up the process of ending the war in Ukraine by engaging China and establishing a lasting peace in the region," Makhon's office said in a statement.

The French president's office also said that both Biden and Machon hope that China will contribute more to the global coordination process on climate and biodiversity and determine their own actions in this regard. However, Makhn's office did not provide any information on this matter.

The French leader will visit China from Wednesday to Friday. Makhone will discuss bilateral relations with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China confirmed this information.

The Biden administration has already announced a decision to increase arms aid to Ukraine. The United States pledged $2.6 billion in military aid in an announcement Tuesday. These include 3 air strike surveillance radars, anti-tank missiles and oil tankers. Through this, the United States has provided $35 billion in military aid since the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
